Before I tell you why I love this product, I must tell you how or why I found it. While on a ski trip in 2007, I had an allergic reaction to citrus or at least I thought that was the culprit. My lips broke out in little red bumps and burned terribly. I was miserable. I tried several different products to remedy the issue, but nothing worked. Finally, I ran across this salve, and it worked. I was so relieved! Since then, I have used it faithfully. I absolutely love that it smells like roses. Plus, it’s an all-purpose salve so it can be used on cuticles, elbows, knees, etc. It’s a great product that I really enjoy.2. COCONUT OIL
I’m not going to enumerate the many different benefits of using coconut oil as a beauty product because there are so many. Coconut oil is one of my top 5 because it’s also so versatile. I use it daily to remove my makeup. I rub the oil in my hands, massage it all over my face to break down the makeup, and then remove the oil with a makeup wipe, towel, or just water. I love it! I also use it to moisturize my hair and at times my body. Because it can be used so many different ways, it’s a lot of bang for the buck.
When I got married, I just knew my husband would love all of my good smelling lotions. Boy was I wrong! My husband has sensitivity toward certain scents, so I’d come out of the bathroom moisturized and smelling good, and he’d be fanning and waving like I smelled of sewage. It was funny but not funny. Needless to say, I made it my mission to find a moisturizing lotion that was unscented. This lotion completely gets the job done. It’s a thick, creamy lotion, which I love. It has great ingredients and keeps me moisturized all day. I’ve been using it for years and would highly recommend it. They sell some lovely scented lotions too. 😉
I’ve been natural for almost 10 years now. I’ve had waist length hair and very short hair during that period of time. Of all of the products that I’ve used during my natural hair journey, this is my holy grail hair product! I gravitated toward Giovanni products initially because I knew they were all natural. I would buy them at our local co-op for a discount and shortly became hooked because it really moisturizes my hair. Therefore, it is the first product that I put on my hair during my wash-n-go routine. I also use it if I’m refreshing my natural hair with water. I hope they never stop making this product or change the formula. I love it, and my hair loves it!
Having oily skin can mean large pores if the skin isn’t cared for properly. For this reason, I use a toner during my skincare routine, and for the last few years, it’s been Thayers! One, I love that it smells like a bouquet of roses. (Clearly, I love that scent, but they also have other scents.) It feels like such a luxury when I spread it over my face. Second, because it’s alcohol-free, it doesn’t dry my skin out. It instead moisturizes and refreshes it. Small pores, lovely smell, and refreshed skin. It’s a keeper!
